Pipe case of palm wood in the shape of a clay pipe with an oval-shaped figural pipe bowl, explicit thumb rest and straight openwork stem. Bowl part flips open with a flap and has the shape of a man's head with cap with flap, the pupils in ivory, a kind of button or thumb rest in swirling carving on the lid, handle with two zones of open loops, handle end of the legs ring. Bowl part top a circular brass plate hinge. |
